Two autograph horizontal variants with different figures are known, one signed and dated 1745, last recorded in Naples in 1928 (F. Arisi, Gian Paolo Panini e i fasti della Roma del '700, Rome, 1986, p.410, no.358, illustrated), the other sold in these Rooms, 23 March 1973, lot 92 (ibid., p.456, no.453 bis, illustrated). An unpublished horizontal version was sold at Sotheby's, 9 December 1992, lot 48
