A SYRIAN POTTERY TWO-HANDLED VASE with rounded body and short cylindrical neck on short foot, two angled handles linking the shoulder and rim, the white exterior painted with groups of three narrow vertical cobalt-blue stripes divided by dotted black lines, a turquoise stripe marking the centre of each quarter, the mouth with a band of triangular motifs between plain black stripes, the interior plain, late 13th century (minute repaired rim chips, very slight irridescence, otherwise in excellent condition)
