Twelve octagonal plates (one damaged, five with hairline cracks, five slightly chipped), 22cm. wide

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Peach quartering Small with in pretence and accollée Cockburn. Cf. D. S. Howard, p. 346, where the author suggests that the central scene is unique. Samuel Peach, for whom this service was made, was a director of the East India Company between 1773 and 1784
