5 parts in one volume, 2°. (450 x 280mm.). 50 HAND-COLOURED ENGRAVED PLATES, by Fr. Assner from his own drawings and those of J. Lachenbauer and M. Sedelmayer, some heightened with silver and gum arabic, each of the five titles with hand-coloured engraved vignette of a fishing scene, printed dedication and list of plates in each section, the final part with index and author's note. (Plates IX and XI trimmed, barely affecting illustration, plate XLIX with small clean marginal tear, plate XLIII with slight surface soiling.) Contemporary marbled boards, rebacked and recornered in calf, with original red morocco gilt lettering pieces on spine and front cover.
