Letterpress title printed in red and black with engraved vignette, 250 engraved and mezzotint plates, including one double-page, printed in colour and finished by hand, by Bartholomaeus Seuter, Johann Ridinger and Johann Jakob Haid, after G. D. Ehret, N. Asamin and others. (Last four plates with marginal repairs at top right-hand corners, occasional light browning to upper parts of some leaves, especially on first few plates.) Contemporary sheep gilt (binding neatly repaired). Provenance: Charles R. Tronchin (signature on title). Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
