Lot Essay

'The Snooks Family went to bed and Mr. Snooks tried to blow out the candle, but he put his under-lip over his upper-lip and his breath went up to the ceiling. Mrs Snooks tried but she put her upper-lip over her under-lip and her breath went to the floor. So they called their son, John, but he could only blow out of the right side of his mouth. Then they called their daughter, Ann, but she could only blow out of the left side of her mouth. It was then they heard a policeman outside and they called him. Bump-bump-bump, he came upstairs, picked up the candlestick in a very dignified manner, puffed it out then bump-bump-bump he went downstairs, and the Snooks family went to bed

'The Pot of Soup. A very good little girl is in the wood picking berries when she meets an old woman who gives her a pot that they may never grow hungry again for ally they have to say is 'Boil little pot' and the pot makes soup. One day when the girl is out the mother tries to make soup, but she cannot stop the pot, which overflows, and they all have to wait until the little girl returns'
