A BRASS-MOUNTED HIGHLAND DIRK with stout single-edged blade double-edged at the point and with single fuller on each side, the flat of the back-edge incised with geometric patterns and a thistle, the forte engraved with the initials T.F., wooden hilt cut with basketwork and studs, plain mounts including flat pommel retained by a nut, and brass-mounted leather scabbard (chape replaced), the extra pieces with plain hilts; and a silver-mounted dirk with fullered double-edged blade stamped 'Boog' at the forte, and wooden hilt cut with basketwork and studs (pommel missing), both second quarter of the 18th Century
