A KATANA, the blade burnished, 72.5cm., in a same and red lacquer saya, iron tsuba carved and gilt with a dragon, shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira with gilt dragons, the menuki with gilt dragons, a gendai-to, the blade honzukuri, iorimune, extended chugissaki, ko-itame hada, suguba hamon of nioi, signed tachi-mei Takeshita Yasukuni kore-o saku, dated 1942, presented to Mr Ouchi by Mr Ota, 66cm., in its military mounts with a Heianjo tsuba, a katana blade, honzukuri, iorimune, extended chugissaki, torii-zori (details obscured), inscribed Bishu Osafune Harumitsu and dated, 69.5cm., in a damaged saya with han-dachi mounts, the tsuba cast, and an oval iron tsuba with a cruciform design, 7.2cm.
