The case of typical form on toupie feet (two of later date), foliate mounts to the sides, trellis-pierced rear door, the concave-moulded top with oak leaf mounts and foliate engraving and surmounted by a later ring handle, the white enamel Roman and Arabic convex dial signed Robert Et Courvoisier with pierced gilt hour and minute hands and blued steel arrow-head alarm hand, the twin barrel quarter striking and repeating movement with circular plates, pull wind alarm, bridgecock verge escapement with hairspring to the three-arm balance, the back plate stamped 7017.
