The gilt-metal case of breakarch form profusely applied with silver foliate mounts, the top with a silver sepentine ring handle looped through a fruiting bud, repeat button to right side, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with inner concenric calendar ring, alarm regulation square by IX, later hour and minute hands, the movement with break-arch gilt plates pinned with four gilt balaster pillars, chain fusee for the going with bridgecock verge escapement, foliate engraved going barrels for the hour and quarter strike trains, the backplate engraved Reinhardt à Dresden.
