A PAIR OF VINCENNES BLEU CELESTE VASES À OREILLES of inverted pear shape, the foliate neck curving over to form continuous leaf handles, painted with landscapes and river scenes within quatrefoil shaped cartouches with gilt rococo scroll and foliage borders with diaper and seeded panels, the feet with garlands of flowers and the rim and handles enriched with gilding (one with half of neck and handle broken and restored, chips to rim and one handle, the other with one handle broken and restored, chips to rim, both with rubbing to gilding), blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letter C for 1755, painter's mark y perhaps for Yvernal, incised L to one and 3 to the other, on 19th century gilt wood bases
