An unusual mahogany dial clock, the painted dial signed Wm.Carter Hampstead within the arcaded Roman and Arabic chapter ring and with blued moon hands, susbidiary flanking dials (now reduntant) for strike/silent and regulation and with true regulation above 60, outer zodiac indication above, the automaton scene below (now redundant) depicting two men a conjuring trick with two couples looking on within a garden backdrop, the associated single chain fusee movement with platform lever escapement and in associated octagonal mahogany case; composite, the dial circa 1770, the movement and case late 19th century
