A MINTONS MAJOLICA PEDESTAL of triangular section, the turquoise faces with yellow, claret and white borders above formal scroll, leaf and shell ornament, the top with three rams' masks projecting in high relief from each corner and carrying ribbon-tied swags of laurel suspended from their horns above columns of beads edged in white, the turquoise shelf set above moulded horizontal bands of acanthus, beads and ribboned flower medallions, on three hoof feet with scrolling large acanthus leaf terminals (some areas of restoration), impressed marks, model number 790, date code for 1877
