There is a drawing of 1893 of the same subject which was illustrated in Illustraerte Zeitung, 7 May 1896. There is also another version in oils, painted for his life long friend, Karl May, in 1921 (see R. Gunther and Dr. K. Hoffmann, Sascha Schneida and Karl May, Eine Kunstler freundschaft, Rachebeul/Freital, 1989, p. 32).
