Lot Essay

Zeuner, a celebrated Dutchman who promoted the verre eglomisé technique depicting, in particular, canal views in his native Amsterdam, travelled extensively in Denmark and in England, where he exhibited in 1778. A more characteristic view of Amsterdam was sold from the Collection of Baroness Van Harinxma thoe Slooten-Scheidius at Christie's Amsterdam, 20 December 1990, lot 276
