gouache heightened with gold and silver on paper, showing the following raginis: bhairava ragini, a lady worshipping at at Shiva shrine; kakubha ragini, a lady holding dangling garlands among peacocks; madhumadhavi ragini, a lady taking shelter from an oncoming storm; syam kalyan ragini, a lady being brought a candle by her maidservant; sanehi ragini(?), a lady preparing to dispatch a messenger with a written note, each with gold margins between black rules, with a wide border of scrolling flowering vine, each framed and glazed

Lot Essay
