A SET OF SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER-AND-UNDER PERCUSSION PISTOLS, converted from flintlock, comprising an officer's pistol and a pocket pistol, the former with browned twist octagonal barrels, the top one sighted, and signed in gold, the bottom one engraved with the address, each breech with two gold lines and platinum-lined touch-hole, finely engraved case-hardened tang, signed border engraved case-hardened locks each with blued external mainspring and engraved safety-catch, figured chequered walnut butt, engraved blued iron mounts, vacant silver escutcheon, original iron ramrod with chequered tip (pipe detached), and much original finish, the pocket pistol with blued octagonal barrels, engraved silver mounts, vacant gold escutcheon and pommel-cap, and most of its original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including a three-way flask covered in red leather, the lid with trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle, by Joseph Egg, No. 1 Piccadilly, London, the officer's pistol No. 82259, the pocket pistol apparently unnumbered, but with London silver hallmarks for 1825
