A PAIR OF SÈVRES-PATTERN DARK-BLUE-GROUND 'JEWELLED' JARDINIÈRES of shaped cylindrical form with two white and gilt scroll handles, painted with scenes of lovers in rural landscapes, the reverses with flowers on white grounds, each enclosed within a gilt ciselé surround outlined with meandering scrolls and flowers enriched with white 'jewels' (wear to gilding, some 'jewels' lacking, one with chip to rim), imitation blue interlaced marks and date letters, circa 1840
