A DOUBLE BED, the headboard with a broken arch centred by two cherubs and flanked to each side by an urn above a moulded and carved pediment with a marquetry inlaid panel depicting Aurora, the Dawn Goddess, in her triumphal chariot (after Guido Reni), flanked by female nude caryatids, the footboard with a stepped top, centred by a shell and with four turned finials, inlaid with a marquetry arched panel of festive dancing cherubs, with a scene from Ovid's Metamorphoses in the distance, flanked to each side by a rectangular parquetry panel, centred by a marquetry inlaid figure of a cherub, with the two side stretchers, on moulded base and two carved tortoise front supports
