A FINE MUGHAL CELADON JADE GEM-ENCRUSTED DAGGER HILT
18th/19th century
The grip carved at the centre with a central knop between two outward tapering sections ornamented with scrolling leaves along the curved edges, ending with a rounded top finial, overall elaborately set with florets and crescent-shaped collets with table-cut diamonds, rubies and emeralds within foiled surrounds, the base drilled for insertion, one gem missing and one stone replaced
