The raised central section with angular shoulders divided by four gilt-bronze animal masks and four raised flanges, enamelled in three wide bands with archaistic motifs of stylised lion-scroll, taotie masks and lappets enclosing confronted winged beasts, all above the spreading foot with phoenix-headed key-pattern and below the wide flaring neck with rising ruyi-head panels with florid zoomorphic designs divided by lotus scrolls on a turquoise ground, the small liner with seven apertures among scrolling flowers, minor losses
