Lot Essay
Dear Mr Blackwell,
Lots 7 & 16, December 8 Sale
We are in receipt of your letter of 15 January with regard to the two items of jewellery that you sold through us recently, and are so sorry that there should have been a misunderstanding over the commission rates.
Since 1 March, 1993 in King Street selling commission over 2501 pounds has been 10 and below that sum 15 In South Kensington commission is 10 over 1,000 pounds and 12 1/2 below that figure.
I am so sorry if I should have mislead you over these figures but we may have discussed the possibility of offering the tortoise brooch through our South Kensington branch and this may be where the confusion arose.
With very many apologies again,
Yours sincerely,
Mary Feilden
