A BESCIAN FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL with two-stage barrel (probably shortened), stamped 'Lazarino Cominazzo' on the octagonal breech and fitted with brass fore-sight, flat bevelled lock with engraved stepped tail terminating in chiselled foliage, pierced and engraved flat cock, and internal steel-spring (top jaw and screw missing, steel incomplete), figured walnut full stock (chipped) with fluted fore-end (incomplete) and inlaid with finely pierced and engraved steel panels (some incomplete), steel butt-cap finely chiselled in relief in typical Brescian fashion, and chiselled trigger (trigger-guard, ramrod-pipe, and one side-nail missing), unsigned, circa 1650
