A Bronze Mirror
Late Eastern Han/Six Dynasties period, 3rd-6th century
The large central knop encircled by two seated Daoist immortals and attendant figures separated from a striding dragon and a tiger by nipples encircled by tiny bosses, all within a narrow hachured band and a band of cloud/dragons on the canted rim; together with a bronze 'TLV' mirror, Han dynasty, the main field crisply cast in thread relief with various animals and birds interspersed amidst 'TLV' motifs, surrounded by hachured and dogtooth bands
7 5/8in. (19.3cm.) diam.; 4 5/8in. (11.3cm.) diam.
