An Anglo Indian ivory and sadeli veneered workbox, Bombay, mid 19th century
Of sarcophagus form, decorated overall with roundels and triangles within borders on ivory ground, with white metal swing handles at the ends, on stylised paw feet, the interior with lift out mirror in the cover and with various subsidiary covered divisions and lift out trays, all with conforming veneered decoration, a drawer beneath -- 16½in. (42cm.) wide
