In a later Gothic arched polychrome-decorated wood frame, laid on a green velvet lined ground, the sleeping figure of Jesse issuing a scrolling vine surmounted by a three-quarter length figure of the Madonna and Child, two additional three-quarter length figures, one probably King David, holding banderals to the middle

The iconographic representation of the recumbant Jesse, dreaming of the lineage of Christ, depicts Christ's ancestors springing from a tree with Christ at its top.
