A COLT 1851 MODEL NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER, No. 21406 for 1855, with octagonal sighted barrel with London address and retaining traces of original blueing (wedge retaining screw missing), cylinder with naval engagement scene, rammer, iron trigger-guard and back-strap, the latter engraved with owner's crest and initials, varnished walnut grips (one with minor chip), and matching numbers throughout (some surface rust and areas of slight pitting overall): in original mahogany case, the velvet lined lid with Directions for Loading and Cleaning (lid split, lining, partitions and accessories missing), London proof marks 13in.
