2 volumes, large 2° (630 x 510mm). Hand-coloured engraved titles, printed list of maps to volume I set within hand-coloured engraved surround, letterpress titles printed in red and black with vignette arms of the Dauphin, 109 engraved maps, hand-coloured in outline, one folding, most double-page on two sheets joined, 97 leaves of engraved tables and descriptions, one folding, volume I with 15 engraved plates of views and plans, volume II with 32 engraved plans after Vauban on 8 leaves. (Volume I lacking maps of Europe and Namur, and engraved table for Namur, light staining of offset green pigments, occasional light staining and spotting, mostly to margins; volume II a few wormholes to margins of last few maps, a few marginal tears.) Non uniform contemporary calf, volume II with Dutch style central arabesques (rubbed, extremities worn, joints of volume I cracked).

A composite set of the Mortier and Huguetan printing of their pirated issue of the Jaillot Atlas Nouveau. Volume I collates according to Pastoureau Jaillot I D; volume II Jaillot I E with the addition of the 8 leaves of plans (dated 1702), and 4 maps of the Far East (the Red Sea, Madagascar, Maldives and Siam). A few of the later maps in the second volume have Pierre Mortier Amsterdam imprints. (2)
