A TANTO, the blade katakiri zukuri, itame hada, gunome midare hamon, horimino of a plum branch and a dragon, inscribed with the full Umetada Myoju signature and dated 1575, 19th century, 21.1cm.; in an aogai saya (damaged) with a shiiremono kozuka, associated shibuichi fuchi-kashira carved with snakes, dragon and ken menuki, iron tsuba with butterflies in gold nunomezogan; and another tanto, the blade hirazukuri, details obscured, probably retempered, 14th century, 22.1cm.; in a carved bamboo scabbard with Tengu and Ushiwakamaru, the hilt with ebony and carved ivory (2)
