A KATANA, the blade honzukuri, iorimune, torii-zori, chugissaki and itame-mokume hada, gonome-midare hamon of ko-nie and midare-komi boshi (chip in kissaki and kizu in hamon), ubu nakago signed Bishu Osafune Sukesada, and dated Gensho? hachinen nigatsu no hi, 61.3cm long; with koshi-samegawa-shuronoke-togidashi-saya (restored), shakudo fuchi-kashira depicting Kagesue and Takatsuna at Ujigawa in gilt takazogan, and plain iron tsuba with raised rim and two small piercings; and a chiisa-katana, the blade honzukuri, iorimune, chugissaki and torii-zori with notare-midare hamon visible but forging details obscured by rubbing, o-maru boshi and ubu nakago, unsigned, 17th century, 55.2cm. long; with vermilion kizamisaya (slight restoration), copper menuki formed as moored river-boats with gilt and shakudo detail, shakudo-ishimeji fuchi-kashira with gilt hikiryomon, the iron tsuba depicting a river-boat near a waterfall (2)
