This type of concave-fronted dressing-table appears in the Gillow Estimate Sketch Books for 1806. Four were supplied to Parlington Hall in 1811, although they have additional drawers below the flanking frieze drawers (see: C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam and Lotherton Hall, Leeds, 1978, vol. II, p. 389, no. 500)
