cover 1893 (13 Dec.) "Macallister" XU5 registered from Mombasa to London, bearing 1891 Provisional "1 Anna" on 3a. black on dull red vertical pair, both initialled "VHM", in combination with 1891 2½a. black on yellow, all neatly tied by "MOMBASA" squared-circle d.s., the last additionally tied by Woolwich registered d.s., showing oval-framed "R" with blue manuscript "1776" alongside and red London registered d.s.; one provisional with pulled perf. at top, otherwise fine.
