Oval, the cover set with an oval enamel plaque painted with a female figure at the altar of love with a boy playing a pair of pipes, on a pink ground with gilt, green and red surround, in chased mount, against an enamel ground with gilt, red and mauve trelliswork in a pale blue border, the sides and base with similar decoration, the mounts engraved with foliage and chain link designs, the base and cover with indistinct marks, one perhaps W crowned - 3¾in. (8.3cm.) long
