Oval, with six engine-turned panels, the cover set with a plaque painted with a grisaille head of a man against a pink ground, within a chased laurel border, the cover and base panels with chased foliate borders on a pink enamel band, the sides with laurel garlands, flowers, shells and musical trophies against pink enamel borders, bearing rubbed French marks inside the cover and base and on the bezel - 3¼in. (8.3cm.) long
