cover 1857 (25 Apr.) entire letter from Roderick MacKenzie to his father in Scotland, headed "Dr. Cruickshank's Tent, Camp, Bushire.", marked "Postage paid via Marseilles" and bearing 1854 4a. Fourth Printing and 1856-64 ½a. block of four (minor imperfections) each clearly cancelled "131" in diamond of bars and showing, on reverse, a good strike of the "FIELD FORCE/PD/PERSIA" c.d.s. overstruck by Fortrose arrival c.d.s.
