cover 1866 (20 Aug.) envelope from Invercargill to Newfoundland, bearing 1864-67 1d. pale orange-vermilion, 4d. deep rose and 6d. red-brown, each neatly cancelled "21" in bars with c.d.s. alongside, partially legible Harbour Grace c.d.s. on face, St. Thomas and St. John's transit c.d.s. on reverse. A rare and most attractive franking to an unusual destination.
