cover 1881 (July) Hong Kong 3c. brown stationery card used from Bangkok to New York via San Francisco, cancelled by good, legible, strike of the oval "BRITISH CONSULATE/BANGKOK" with Arms handstamp in reddish brown, overstruck by "B62" obliterator and showing Hong Kong c.d.s. alongside; some slight toning and with an insignificant internal split. One of only a handful of items known bearing the Consulate handstamp and the only recorded example struck in reddish brown
