A CHELSEA TWO-HANDLED ECUELLE and a cover, the écuelle painted with pairs of birds in landscape vignettes, the interior with a loose bouquet and scattered flowers, the entwined handles applied with coloured flowers and foliage and with scroll-moulded terminals enriched in gilding, with gilt rim and footrim, the domed cover with birds in flight, the finial formed as a bouquet tied with turquoise ribbon, with gilt dentil rim (chips to flowers and foliage of finial, some crazing and staining to écuelle), red anchor mark, circa 1758
