Château Cheval-Blanc--Vintage 1947
Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A). Château-bottled
Superb appearance. Excellent level: well into neck
Still impressively deep, lively and intense; bouquet subdued at first but developed fabulously; on the sweet side, mouthfilling, with lovely crisp flavour and silky tannins. Perfection. Several recent notes, all with top marks. Last tasted (in bottle) October 1993
