A GILT-METAL-MOUNTED DRESDEN RECTANGULAR MIRROR-FRAME moulded with turquoise, pink and gilt rococo-scrolls, foliage and shells and applied and painted with flowers, the top surmounted by a crown above an oval medallion enclosing Watteauesque lovers in a garden flanked by panels of moulded diaper-pattern, the sides applied in high relief with two cherubs above birds on branches, the bottom painted with a lady in a landscape within a shaped cartouche and fitted with two scrolling arms and candleholders (one lacking), the metal mount cast with scrolls, foliage and trellis-pattern, inset with a mirror and on a wooden support (various chips to extremities, crown detached, one flower lacking), late 19th Century
