Marcel Guigal is, without any doubt, the dominant and most innovative producer of Côte Rôtie. It is he who has pioneered the concept of single-vineyard 'lieu-dit' wines: La Mouline on the Côte Blonde (since 1966), La Landonne on the Côte Brune (since 1978) and, more recently a second Côte Brune vineyard, La Turque (since 1985). The first and last are "monopole" vineyards, whereas La Landonne is shared with Réné Rostaing
