The kitchen pepper, maker's mark of Robert Pilington, Dublin, 1734 (date letter worn); the salts Jos. Jackson or John Laughlin, Jr. (worn), Dublin, 1794
The cylindrical pepper on short molded base, with multi-scroll handle, with low domed partly pierced slip on cover, base underside initialled -3¼in. (8.25cm.) high; the gilt-lined navette form salts each on oval pedestal base, engraved with foliate festoons centering vacant oval cartouche, with two upswept reeded handles, with bright-cut engraved borders, and reeded rims, length over handles-- 5½in. (13.9cm.), 10oz. (3)
