266 x 215mm., 90 leaves + 10 blank leaves (2 flyleaves and 8 blanks), 9 irregular quires, on Dutch paper watermarked GR and LVG. Imperfect, with text missing at the end and between quires 6 and 7, 17 lines to a page, black ink with red rubrics for section headings and words in Arabic, catchwords in margins at the end of each quire and some other folios (small wormhole affecting lower margin of 4 leaves). Contemporary cloth-backed paper wrappers, spine with paper label (lightly soiled, upper joint of spine cracked), outer edges uncut.
An interesting manuscript with instructions on prayer, holy war and various parables about muslim heroes. Malay manuscripts of this period have become very rare.
