A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER TWO-HANDLED SALTS, A GEORGE IV WINE FUNNEL AND A SILVER HOT-WATER JUG
The salts London, 1782, apparently no maker's mark; the funnel probably Wm. Stroud, 1827, the pot 1804
The gilt-lined oval salts each on oval pedestal base, twice applied with Classical figure medallions, with two partly reeded upswept handles, length over handles--4¾in. (12cm.); the funnel with partly reeded spout, the detachable strainer with gadrooned rim and plain clip; the baluster hot-water pot chased with large flowers and scrolls on matted ground, interupted by swirled flute, with squat spout, wood angular handle, the decorated cover topped by flower finial--6¾in. (17.1cm.) high, gross weight 34oz. (4)
