Contemporary black half morocco, the covers with irregularly-shaped vertical panels of blue paper criss-crossed with gilt filets, flat spine tooled in gilt with author and title, t.e.g., by P. L. Martin, dated 1954 (very slight scoring of upper cover). Provenance: Jacques Delmas (booklabel).
FIRST EDITION. One of 100 copies on vélin bouffant. The edition was due to include 25 copies on japan paper: these were never printed as the paper was unavailable in Algiers in 1939.
