AN AMERICAN SIX-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE
Maker's mark of Bigelow Bros. & Kennard, Coin, no. 260, circa 1860
Comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee pot, two-handled open sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each oval on short base, each side engraved with foliate spray enclosed, reeded strap work cartouche, one initialed, the other with crest and coronet, the harp-form handles applied with ribbon-tied pendant medallion, the pots with similarly applied high up raised spout, the hinged slightly raised cover topped by shaped loop finial, kettle on twice pinned (lacking one pin and cover to lamp) stand over swing handle--15in. (38.1) cm. high, gross weight 156oz. (6)
