Maker's mark of Gorham, Coin, no. 50, circa 1850
Comprising teapot, two-handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and gilt- lined waste bowl, each urn form, on molded spreading base, the sides with broad engine-turned band twice with shaped quatrefoil vacant cartouche, topped by foliate shell and with lower bright-cut engraved floral and foliate festoons, with leaf-capped scroll handle, the teapot with partly fluted and leaf-capped spout, the hinged, slightly raised, part engine-turned cover topped by cast flower finial, the teapot--9in. (22.86cm.) high, gross weight 66oz. (4)
