1d. Mauve, S.G.12 440 were produced, consisting of twenty-two sheets of 20 stamps. It is thought that two sheets were produced from each of the eleven Plates, 1-11, but this has not been proved beyond all doubt. All were typewritten carbon copies in mauve. Some 148 unused examples, including three complete sheets (from Plates 6, 8 and 11), two blocks of eight, six blocks of four, three strips of four and three pairs, and 18 used examples, including six on cover or cover back, have been recorded. 129 remainders were destroyed.
