Beach, printed list of illustrations, preface and title page, maroon half calf (re-backed), titled in gilt, g.e., 4to; the second with approx. 100 half-tone reproductions after photographs by Thomson, printed text, list of illustrations, printed title page, red cloth, titled in gilt on spine and with gilt emblem depicting a Chinese dragon on front cover, 4to. Lot Essay

The frontispiece portrait of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh has a facsimile signature dated Hong Kong, 16th Nov.ber/69; the others with printed titles include a two-part panorama of a view with Government House; 'Queens Road (prepared for illumination)'; 'Chinese Street (prepared for illumination)'; 'Hong Kong facing the Harbour'; 'The Race Course and Happy Valley'; 'The City Hall'.
