AN INDIAN TULWAR fitted with a watered Persian shamshir blade with broad fuller on each side and on one side with a dated gold-inlaid cartouche inscribed 'Shah Abbas', the hilt with gilt designs of flowers and foliage on a gilt ground (some wear), in leather-covered scabbard with gold-damascened iron mounts, the blade dated (1)103 for 1692 A.D., the hilt 18th Century; and an Arab sabre with earlier curved blade clip-backed at the point, the hilt with iron quillons, the grip and pommel covered with punched silver, in leather-covered scabbard with punched silver mounts and with embroidered straps and panels, 19th Century
